Ekin-Su breaks her silence about her absence from the Celebrity Big Brother final

Reality star Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has spoken out about her decision not to take part in this year’s Celebrity Big Brother final.

The former Love Island winner was evicted early during ITV’s CBB reboot, and she claimed during her exit interview On the spin-off show Late & Live, he noted that what viewers had seen did not reflect the reality of life in the house (although they did not have the opportunity to watch the show again).

It was later reported that Ekin-Su had made the decision not to return just hours before the finale aired, which she spoke about on her Instagram Story.

As reported by Digital spythe former US star of “Traitors” told her followers the morning after the live broadcast of the CBB final: “I know it’s out of character for me to hide, but I took some time to think. Sometimes it is in our lowest moments that we learn the most important lessons about ourselves.

“I hope you don’t think I was selfish last night for setting boundaries and putting my own needs first. I am fully aware that not everyone will understand my absence or think it was the right decision, BUT it was the right decision for me.”

Ekin-Su continued: “I have decided to extricate myself from a potentially unpleasant situation that I would rather avoid. I’m proud of myself for recognizing what I need during this time, despite the hate that might come my way.

“Responsibility is the key to success and when I am ready I will provide an overview of the past few weeks. Thank you to everyone who sent me kindness. I see you and I appreciate you. The new chapter begins now.”

She also praised CBB winner David Potts and shared her “big congratulations” with him.

First evicted Gary Goldsmith, Kate Middleton’s uncle, was also missing from the CBB finale.

After the Princess of Wales publicly announced her recent cancer diagnosis last week, Gary wrote on X: “Following today’s news I will not be taking part in the final of Celebrity Big Brother tonight.

“I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to my housemates and everyone involved in making this brilliant show. I hope you all enjoy your special evening.”

Former CBB lodger Sharon Osbourne also did not return to the CBB finale as she had since returned to LA, but did send a video message to her housemates which was broadcast during Late & Live.
