Couple Injured in Rashee Rice Accident, Lawyers Reportedly Angry: ‘They’re Angry’

There’s a lot to figure out in the accident allegedly caused by Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice’s car, and it appears at least two people involved don’t want him to get off lightly.

A Dallas couple injured in Saturday’s hit-and-run collision that allegedly involved Rice have hired an attorney and are reportedly exploring their legal options the Dallas Morning News. The two were reportedly on their way to a friend’s 50th birthday party when two vehicles, one reportedly including Rice, crashed into their white Lexus SUV.

The couple’s car reportedly spun across the highway until it hit a wall (You can see the incident in the video here). The two were reportedly taken to a hospital and are now recovering at home. The woman reportedly suffered a “significant laceration” above her left eye, requiring multiple stitches in the eyelid, as well as a swollen and bruised right leg, while both are experiencing post-concussion symptoms.

From the morning news:

“They are angry about the situation,” Walker said in an interview. “From our perspective and their perspective, it doesn’t really matter who the people are, just the aspect of human decency – the decent thing you can do is make sure no one is harmed and fulfill your legal obligations. “

Other victims in the accident reportedly include a 27-year-old and her 4-year-old son whose Hyundai Accent was “undrivable,” as well as another victim in an Uber who suffered a T-bone.

Rice released a statement Monday confirming he was involved in the crash, is cooperating with authorities and will “take all necessary steps to address this situation responsibly.”

A key question surrounding the accident is whether or not Rice was driving the black Lamborghini involved. Per TMZHe also owns the black Corvette involved in the accident, but has leased the Lamborghini from a company called Classic Lifestyle at a rate of $1,749 per day.

Kyle Coker, an attorney representing Classic Lifestyle, reportedly told TMZ that Rice was the only person allowed to drive the Lamborghini and that the bankruptcy trustee promised via text message to pay for the totaled car after the accident.

The people in both cars that caused the accident were allegedly caught on video fleeing on foot. Both the Chiefs and the NFL have confirmed they are aware of the situation, while police are still investigating and have not identified any official suspects.
