MAFS UK welcomes first trans candidate to 2023 lineup

Ella, MAFS UK's first transgender candidate.

Married at first sight, United Kingdom has finally announced the contestants for his 2023 series and casually introduced his first-ever transgender bride.

The explosive reality TV series announces its long-awaited return to Channel 4, promising a format change, a string of sizzling singles and plenty of drama.

Eight brides and eight grooms prepare to walk down the aisle saying “yes” to a complete stranger in hopes of finding true love.

Among them is 29-year-old Ella from Weston-Super-Mare.

Ella, who works as a clinic counselor, is described as “a blonde bombshell with a sense of humor and a heart of gold.” Digital Spy reports.

The MAFSUK hopeful lives with her grandma, who she says is the closest thing to her in her life. Together they are the “dynamic duo that everyone needs in their lives”.

About being the first transgender MAFS Contestant Ella said: “This experiment is about so much more than me getting married. I see that as a big thing for someone in transition.”

Ella is joined this season by brides Tasha, Shona, Rosaline, Porsha, Peggy, Laura, and Jay, and grooms Thomas, Terence, Paul, Nathanial, Luke, Georges, Brad, and Arthur — though who she will end up with The Exchange Of vows with is still unclear.

This year’s participants will be selected by the group MAFS Experts Melanie Schilling, Paul C. Brunson and Charlene Douglas embark on a dreamy honeymoon and move in together.

Each week, the couples meet at dramatic dinner parties and consult with the experts to make sure they’re on the right track.

This season is set to be the greatest of all time MAFSUK ongoing, with 36 episodes for fans to enjoy – that can only mean there’s plenty to spill.

As a preview of the upcoming episode, Channel 4 released a short clip of relationship expert Paul C. Brunson announcing the long-awaited return of the British reality series, much to the delight of fans.

“We’re too excited for that,” one commented under the promo clip.

“Paul, stop pumping up dopamine and tell us when!” pleaded another.

No launch date has been announced at the time of writing, but judging by the history of my MAFS UK, hopefully fans should expect the new season to begin later this month.

If you can wait that long!
