WWE is bringing Clash At The Castle back to the UK for a big night in Scotland.

The sports entertainment giant, who are already heading to Europe this year for Backlash France and Bash In Berlin, will take the lead in Glasgow for a massive double-header almost two years after a historic evening at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

On June 15, Clash At The Castle comes to the OVO Hydro Arena in Glasgow for the company’s first premium live event in Scotland.

WWE will also host SmackDown at the same venue on Friday, June 14, as part of a weekend of events.

“We are excited to bring both Friday Night SmackDown and Clash At The Castle: Scotland to our great fans in Scotland at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow in June,” commented WWE President Nick Khan.

“The world will see that this is one of the UK’s finest venues and that Scottish audiences are among the loudest, craziest and most passionate on the planet.”

The announcement following the in September 2022, the record-breaking Clash At The Castle in Cardiff, which at the time became the most watched and highest rated international premium live event in the company’s history.

In addition to GUNTHER defeating Sheamus in an instant classic, Edge and Rey Mysterio teamed up against The Judgment Day before Dominik Mysterio turned on his famous father.

And in an emotional main event, Drew McIntyre saw off Roman Reigns, who retained undisputed WWE Universal Champion, while boxing icon Tyson Fury made a memorable appearance.

The Glasgow show is expected to feature many Scottish Superstars in the spotlight, including WWE greats such as Drew McIntyre, Piper Niven, Alba Fyre, Isla Dawn, Nikki Cross, Noam Dar and Gallus’ Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey and Wolfgang on Raw, SmackDown and NXT.

Drew’s prominent spot on the poster suggests he may have put pen to paper on a new contract after months of speculation about his future.

Meanwhile, the first commercial also features Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill, all of whom will compete in special matches at WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia this weekend.

Clash At The Castle will be the first WWE broadcast from the UK since then Last summer’s Money In The Bank event at the O2 Arena in London in July.

The Glasgow event means WWE will host a series of shows outside the US following WrestleMania on April 6th and 7th, starting with Backlash France in Lyon on May 4th.

This year, Money In The Bank arrives from Toronto, Canada on July 6th before returning to the US for SummerSlam in Cleveland, Ohio on August 3rd, followed by the first PLE in Germany for Bash In Berlin on August 31st.
